DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 night view ECU monitors the power supplied to the object recognition camera (night view camera). This DTC is stored if a power supply malfunction is detected.

Tech Tips

While DTCs are stored, the night view system does not operate and a warning message is displayed on the accessory meter assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When the No. 1 night view ECU and/or object recognition camera (night view camera) is replaced, perform object recognition camera (night view camera) adjustment Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 NIGHT VIEW ECU - OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA [NIGHT VIEW CAMERA])


    1. Disconnect the g2 No. 1 night view ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the X25 object recognition camera (night view camera) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      g2-17 (CCD+) - X25-1 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      g2-20 (CCD-) - X25-2 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      g2-17 (CCD+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      g2-20 (CCD-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Using the GTS, follow the instructions to switch to the "Night View" screen and select "Active Test" Click here.

    2. Select "Night View System Operation" on the screen and forcibly operate the night view system.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Temporarily replace the object recognition camera (night view camera) with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Turn the engine switch off.

    3. Wait 6 seconds after turning the engine switch off, and then turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Check for DTCs Click here.
