DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the multi-media module receiver assembly receives a signal via CAN communication from the steering sensor that indicates a power supply problem.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • When "System initializing" is displayed on the accessory meter assembly after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point Click here.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed Click here.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING SENSOR - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the steering sensor connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L21-2 (ESS) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L21-1 (IG) - L21-2 (ESS) Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      L21-3 (BAT) - L21-2 (ESS) Engine switch off 11 to 14 V
