DESCRIPTION

The multi-media module receiver assembly and map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) are connected to each other using the microphone connection detection signal lines.

This DTC is stored when a microphone connection detection signal line is disconnected.

  1. CONFIRM MODEL


    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L146 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the X4 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L146-27 (MIN+) - X4-21 (MI1+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L146-29 (MACC) - X4-22 (ACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      L146-48 (MIN-) - X4-20 (MIC-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L146-49 (SNS2) - X4-31 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      L146-27 (MIN+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Turn the engine switch on (ACC).

    2. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals X4-20 (MIC-) and X4-21 (MI1+) of the map light assembly connector.

    3. Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using the oscilloscope.

  6. CHECK TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the telephone microphone assembly with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Check if the same DTC is output again.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the L142 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
