  1. CHECK MUTE SIGNAL CIRCUIT

      Component with harness connected

      (Television Display Assembly)

      Remove the television display assembly connector still connected.


    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman, except Ottoman
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R82-20 (MUT2) - Body ground Disc player assembly playing → Source changed Higher than 3.5 V → Below 1 V
      for 5-Passenger with Ottoman
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R87-20 (MUT2) - Body ground Disc player assembly playing → Source changed Higher than 3.5 V → Below 1 V

    1. Disconnect the z17*1 or R90*2, *3 disc player assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the R82*1, *3 or R87*2 television display assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R82-20 (MUT2) - z17-6 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
      R82-20 (MUT2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for 5-Passenger with Ottoman
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R87-20 (MUT2) - R90-6 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
      R87-20 (MUT2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      except Ottoman
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R82-20 (MUT2) - R90-6 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
      R82-20 (MUT2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporarily replace the disc player assembly with a new or normally functioning one.


    2. Check that the mute signal circuit functioning normally.
