DESCRIPTION

The accessory meter assembly and multi-media module receiver assembly are connected by an AVC-LAN communication line.

When an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the display module board and accessory meter assembly, this DTC is will be stored.

Tech Tips


  • Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.

  • The multi-media module receiver assembly is the master unit.

  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the accessory meter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L145-13 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L145-12 (+B2) - L145-13 (GND1) Always 11 to 14 V
      L145-24 (ACC) - L145-13 (GND1) Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

  4. INSPECT MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the multi-media module receiver assembly Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      45 (TX3+) - 46 (TX3-) Always 60 to 80 Ω

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L146 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the L145 accessory meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L146-45 (TX3+) - L145-7 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L146-46 (TX3-) - L145-19 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L146-45 (TX3+) or L145-7 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L146-46 (TX3-) or L145-19 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. CHECK ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the accessory meter assembly with a new or known good one Click here.
