INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (for LHD)

(Light Control Rheostat)

Inspect the light control rheostat.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 3 (UP) - 5 (E) UP switch pushed Below 200 Ω Off 10 kΩ or higher 7 (DOWN) - 5 (E) DOWN switch pushed Below 200 Ω Off 10 kΩ or higher 2 (B) - 5 (E) Headlight cleaner switch pushed Below 200 Ω Off 10 kΩ or higher -
Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the light control rheostat illuminates.
OK Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 8 (ILL+)
Battery negative (-) → 6 (ILL-)
Illumination illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat.
