U0100 Lost Communication with ECM / PCM "A"

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 meter ECU communicates with the ECM via the CAN line.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
U0100

When either of following conditions is detected:


  1. Vehicle speed 5 km/h (3.1 mph) or more and IG voltage 10.5 V or more

  2. No communication with ECM continues for 3 seconds or more (No communication to ECM or skid control ECU continues for 60 seconds or more)

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output Click here.

    2. Clear the DTC Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTC Click here.

      Result:
      Result Proceed to
      CAN communication system DTC is not output A
      CAN communication system (for LHD) DTC is output B
      CAN communication system (for RHD) DTC is output C

      Tech Tips

      If the CAN communication system DTC U0100 and another DTC are output at the same time, perform troubleshooting for the CAN communication system DTC U0100 first.
