DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to operate the windshield wiper switch. The manual operation signals are sent to the front light ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH)


    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the windshield wiper switch.

      Windshield Wiper Switch:

      ON: Front wiper switch in MIST

      OFF: Front wiper switch not in MIST

      F Wiper VOL POS Front wiper volume (sensitivity) / 0 to 90 degrees

      0 degrees / FR wiper volume "+" position

      27 degrees / Switch is turned one notch towards the "-" side from the FR wiper volume "+" position

      63 degrees / Switch is turned one notch towards the "+" side from the FR wiper volume "-" position

      90 degrees / FR wiper volume "-" position

      ON: Engine switch on (IG)

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIPER SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the L25 switch connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L25-1 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      L25-2 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      L25-2 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L25-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
