REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Connect the connector to install the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly to the rear combination light lens.

  2. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT PACKING LH


    1. Install a new rear combination light packing LH to the rear combination light lens.

  3. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Move the rear combination light assembly LH in the direction of the arrow in the illustration and attach the clip, 2 claws and 2 guides to install the rear combination light assembly LH.

    2. Install the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      4.5 N*m  { 46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

    *2 Guide

    1. Attach the 2 guides and 2 fasteners to install the luggage trim service hole cover.

  5. INSTALL REAR LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH


    1. w/o Rear Fog Light:


      1. Connect the connector and attach the guide to install the rear light socket and wire LH to the rear light lens.

    2. w/ Rear Fog Light:


      1. Connect the connector and attach the guide to install the rear light socket and wire LH to the rear light lens.

  6. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FOG LIGHT BULB (w/ Rear Fog Light)

    1. Install the rear No. 1 fog light bulb to the rear light socket and wire LH.

    2. A01GJX4

      Turn the rear light socket and wire LH with the rear No. 1 fog light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow to connect them as a unit.

  7. INSTALL REAR LIGHT GASKET LH


    1. w/o Rear Fog Light:


      1. Install a new rear light gasket LH to the rear light lens.

    2. w/ Rear Fog Light:


      1. Install a new rear light gasket LH to the rear light lens.

  8. INSTALL REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. w/o Rear Fog Light:


      1. Install the rear light assembly LH with the 2 nuts and 2 cap nuts.

        Torque:
        4.5 N*m  { 46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf }

      2. Connect the connector.

    2. w/ Rear Fog Light:


      1. Install the rear light assembly LH with the 2 nuts and 2 cap nuts.

        Torque:
        4.5 N*m  { 46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf }

      2. Connect the connector.

  9. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM COVER


    1. Attache the 10 clips to install the back door trim cover.

    2. Install the 4 clips.

  10. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER LH


    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the rear combination light service cover LH.

  11. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH


    1. Install the luggage compartment door hinge cover LH with the 3 clips.

  13. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  14. INSTALL NO. 2 COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 courtesy light assembly.

  15. INSTALL SWITCH BEZEL


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the switch bezel.

  16. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP


    1. Install the luggage compartment door assist grip with the 2 screws.

      Attach the 3 claws.
