REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

    1. Detach the 2 fasteners and guides and remove the luggage trim service hole cover.

  2. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Put protective tape around the rear combination light assembly LH.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the 3 nuts.

    4. Move the rear combination light assembly LH in the direction of the arrow in the illustration, detach the clip, 2 claws and 2 guides to remove the rear combination light assembly LH.

      Tech Tips

      The clips remain on the vehicle body.

  3. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT PACKING LH

    1. Remove the rear combination light packing LH from the rear combination light lens.

  4. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Disconnect the connector and remove the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH from the rear combination light lens.

  5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. A01GLUL

      Remove the 2 screws and luggage compartment door assist grip.

  6. REMOVE SWITCH BEZEL


    1. A01GJRX

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the switch bezel.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 2 courtesy light assembly.

  8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH

      Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and luggage compartment door hinge cover LH.

  9. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER LH


    1. A01GLPC

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear combination light service cover LH.

  11. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER


    1. A01GJGA

      Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.

    2. Detach the 10 clips and back door trim cover.

  13. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. w/o Rear Fog Light:


      1. Put protective tape around the rear light assembly LH.

      2. Disconnect the connector.

      3. Remove the 2 nuts and 2 cap nuts and remove the rear light assembly LH.

    2. w/ Rear Fog Light:


      1. Put protective tape around the rear light assembly LH.

      2. Disconnect the connector.

      3. Remove the 2 nuts and 2 cap nuts and remove the rear light assembly LH.

  14. REMOVE REAR LIGHT GASKET LH

    1. w/o Rear Fog Light:


      1. Remove the rear light gasket from the rear light lens.

    2. A01GL1W

      w/ Rear Fog Light:


      1. Remove the rear light gasket from the rear light lens.

  15. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FOG LIGHT BULB (w/ Rear Fog Light)

    1. Turn the rear light socket and wire LH with the rear No. 1 fog light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and disconnect them as a unit.

    2. A01GJO9

      Remove the rear No. 1 fog light bulb from the rear combination rear light socket and wire LH.

  16. REMOVE REAR LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH

    1. w/o Rear Fog Light:


      1. Disconnect the connector, detach the guide and remove the rear light socket and wire from the rear light lens.

    2. A01GNH1

      w/ Rear Fog Light:


      1. Disconnect the connector, detach the guide and remove the rear light socket and wire from the rear light lens.
