  • Use these procedures to troubleshoot the lighting system.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

    Standard voltage
    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC ROWER CONTROL SYSTEM)*


    1. Using the GTS check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    4. Check for DTC and make a note of any codes that are output.

    5. Clear the DTC.

    6. Recheck for DTC. Based on the DTC output above, try to cause the output of the same CAN communication system DTC, LIN communication DTC or lighting system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.

  6. CHECK FOR DTC*


    1. Check for DTC Click here.

    2. Clear the DTC Click here.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the high beam headlights on.

    4. Recheck for DTC Click here.
