OBJECT RECOGNITION ECU REMOVAL

Note

When replacing the object recognition ECU, make sure to perform the replacement after confirming that the headlight assembly is securely installed.


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

  3. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01GMHF

      Remove the 4 bolts and 4 rope hook assemblies.

  4. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH

      1. Remove the clip.

      2. Remove the deck trim side board LH.

    2. w/o Spear Tire:


      1. Detach the clip and deck trim side board LH.

  5. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH

      1. Remove the clip.

      2. Remove the deck trim side board RH.

    2. w/o Spear Tire:


      1. Detach the clip and deck trim side board RH.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 luggage compartment light assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE ROPE HOOK

      Remove the 4 rope hooks by pushing the claws in the direction of the arrows in the illustration.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler)


    1. Detach the No. 2 luggage compartment trim hook.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler)

      Detach the 2 clips and remove the No. 1 cooler cover.

  10. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER


    1. w/o Rear Cooler:


      1. A01GJSC

        Remove the 4 claws, 3 clips and front luggage compartment trim cover.

    2. w/ Rear Cooler:


      1. A01GI60

        Remove the 4 claws, 5 clips and front luggage compartment trim cover.

  11. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

  12. REMOVE TOOL BOX (w/o Spare Tire)

    1. Remove the 2 clips and tool box.

  13. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

      Remove the 3 clips.

    2. Detach the 4 clips and remove the rear floor finish plate.

  14. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Detach the claw and luggage compartment trim cover assembly RH.

  15. REMOVE OBJECT RECOGNITION ECU

    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Detach the 2 clips and remove the object recognition ECU.

      Note

      Do not drop or subject the object recognition ECU to strong shocks.
