Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING BRAKE ECU ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      (to Parking Brake ECU Assembly)

      Disconnect the parking brake ECU assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S46-8 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      S48-2 (BECU) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      S48-4 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S46-3 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
