Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACTIVE HEADREST CONTROL ECU RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Rear view of wire harness connector

      (to Active Headrest Control ECU RH [Front Seat Headrest Assembly RH])

      Disconnect the active headrest control ECU RH (front seat headrest assembly RH) connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      e60-3 (IG1) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      e60-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
