DESCRIPTION

Based on the WDD signal (DC / DC condition notification signal) from the power steering converter, the power steering ECU processes and outputs signals. Based on the LDD signal (EPS demand signal) from the power steering ECU, the power steering converter processes and outputs signals.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER STEERING ECU - POWER STEERING CONVERTER ASSEMBLY)


    1. A01GKKME02

      Disconnect the A44 ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A46 converter connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A44-10 (LDD) - A46-8 (LDD) Always Below 1 Ω
      A44-7 (WDD1) - A46-2 (WDD1) Always Below 1 Ω
      A44-10 (LDD) or A46-8 (LDD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A44-7 (WDD1) or A46-2 (WDD1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER STEERING ECU - POWER STEERING CONVERTER ASSEMBLY)


    1. A01GJQAE32

      Disconnect the A46 converter connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A46-1 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

  3. REPLACE POWER STEERING CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
