C13A9/61 Brake Control System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The electric parking brake ECU receives vehicle wheel speed information from the skid control ECU via CAN communication.

C13A9/61

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Engine switch is on (IG)

  2. Malfunction signal is input from skid control ECU for approx. 0.3 sec.

  • Skid control ECU

  • Electric parking brake ECU

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

If the electric parking brake ECU or parking brake with bracket actuator assembly is replaced, perform the "Reset Memory" and "ACQUIRE TENSION SENSOR ZERO POINT" procedures Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the tester ON.

    4. Check for DTC Click here.

    GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM Click here

  2. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the tester ON.

    4. Clear the DTC Click here.

    5. Check for DTC.
