FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER (for AWD) INSTALLATION


  1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GK9LE01

      Temporarily install the front suspension lower arm LH, and insert the camber adjusting cam from the rear of the vehicle.

    2. A01GNYCE01

      Install the No. 2 camber adjusting cam and temporarily install the nut.

      Tech Tips

      After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

    3. Align the matchmarks of camber adjusting cam, No. 2 camber adjusting cam and front frame assembly.

  2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY RH

  3. TEMPORARILY INSTALL LOWER FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Connect the front shock absorber lower bracket to the front suspension lower arm LH.

      Align the protrusion of the front shock absorber upper bracket plate with the cutout of the front shock absorber lower bracket, and temporarily install the plate with the nut.

      Tech Tips

      After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

  4. TEMPORARILY INSTALL LOWER FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM LH


    1. Temporarily install the front No. 2 suspension lower arm LH, and insert the toe adjusting cam from the rear of the vehicle.

      Install the bolt, No. 2 toe adjusting plate and temporarily install the nut.

      Tech Tips

      After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

    3. Align the matchmarks of camber adjusting cam, No. 2 camber adjusting cam and front frame assembly.

    4. A01GK22

      Connect the front suspension lower arm LH to the front lower ball joint with the nut.

      Torque:
      145 N*m  { 1479 kgf*cm, 107 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If it is necessary to align the holes for the clips after installing the nuts, the nuts can be tightened up to 60° more.

    5. Install a new clip.

  6. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM RH

  7. INSTALL POWER STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01GMLO

      Install the power steering link to the front frame with the 2 bolts, 2 washers and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      150 N*m  { 1530 kgf*cm, 111 ft.*lbf }
  8. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. A01GKJF

      Install the front suspension member bracket with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      59 N*m  { 603 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf }
  9. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GLF3

      Install the front suspension member bracket with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      59 N*m  { 603 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf }
  10. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR

    1. Temporarily install the front stabilizer bar and front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH and RH with the 4 bolts in the direction shown in the illustration.

  11. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH


    1. A01GMW6

      Tighten the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      115 N*m  { 1173 kgf*cm, 85 ft.*lbf }
  12. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH


    1. A01GNIE

      Tighten the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket RH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      115 N*m  { 1173 kgf*cm, 85 ft.*lbf }
  13. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GLNE

      Install the front stabilizer link with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      85 N*m  { 867 kgf*cm, 63 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.

  14. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR


    1. Install the 2 engine mounting spacers and 2 front engine mounting insulators with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      35 N*m  { 357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf }
  16. INSTALL FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY


    1. Slowly lower the engine and set it to the front frame assembly.

    2. Install the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      70 N*m  { 714 kgf*cm, 52 ft.*lbf }
  17. INSTALL ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

  18. STABILIZE SUSPENSION


    1. Install the front wheels.

      Torque:
      140 N*m  { 1428 kgf*cm, 103 ft.*lbf }
    2. Lower the vehicle and start the engine. Then fill the pneumatic cylinder with front shock absorber assembly LH with air.

      Tech Tips

      If the vehicle height is not restored within 2 minutes, stop the engine and then start the engine again.

    3. Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the front suspension.

    4. Remove the front wheels.

      Note

      Do not turn the power switch ON (IG).

      Jack up the front suspension lower arm with a wooden block between the jack and front suspension lower arm. Apply a load to the front suspension so that the front suspension lower arm is horizontal.

  19. TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Tighten the nut of the front No. 2 suspension lower arm LH.

      Torque:
      210 N*m  { 2141 kgf*cm, 155 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tighten the nut while making sure that the marks are aligned.

  20. TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY RH

  21. TIGHTEN LOWER FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Tighten the nut of the lower front shock absorber bracket.

      Torque:
      112 N*m  { 1142 kgf*cm, 83 ft.*lbf }

  23. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM LH

    1. Tighten the nut of the front No. 2 suspension lower arm LH.

      Torque:
      210 N*m  { 2141 kgf*cm, 155 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tighten the nut while making sure that the marks are aligned.
