FRONT STABILIZER BAR (for 2WD) INSTALLATION

  1. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH


    1. A01GKBX

      Install the front suspension member reinforcement LH to the vehicle with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      50 N*m  { 510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH

    Tech Tips

    Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

  3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BUSH

      Install the 2 front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushes outside of the bush stoppers on the front stabilizer bar as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be sure to install the front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushes so that the cutouts face the front of the vehicle.

  4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT STABILIZER BAR

      Temporarily install the front stabilizer bar with the 4 bolts and the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH and RH.

      Note

      Install the front stabilizer bar so that the identification mark faces the vehicles right side.

  5. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH


    1. A01GLBT

      Tighten the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      49 N*m  { 500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf }

  6. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

  7. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR LH

      Install the engine under cover rear LH with the 2 screws.

  8. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR RH

    Tech Tips

    Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

  9. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Install the engine under cover sub-assembly LH with the 2 screws.

  10. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

  11. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GJW2

      Install the front stabilizer link with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      84 N*m  { 857 kgf*cm, 62 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.

  12. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

  13. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER


    1. A01GNYRE01

      Install the No. 2 engine under cover with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf, (for bolt A) }
      27 N*m  { 275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf, (for bolt B) }

  14. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

    Torque:
    140 N*m  { 1428 kgf*cm, 103 ft.*lbf }

  15. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
