OIL PUMP REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL

    A01GNKOE01

    1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new front oil pump oil seal.

      SST
      09350-30020   ( 09351-32140 )
      Standard depth
      -0.2 to 0.2 mm (-0.00787 to 0.00787 in.)

      Tech Tips

      The front oil pump oil seal end should be flush with the outer edge of the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

    2. Coat the lip of the front oil pump oil seal with MP grease.

  2. SECURE FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the front oil pump body sub-assembly on the torque converter.

  3. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR


    1. Coat the front oil pump driven gear with ATF.

    2. Install the front oil pump driven gear to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR


    1. Coat the front oil pump drive gear with ATF.

    2. Install the front oil pump drive gear to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

  5. CLEAN FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Coat a new O-ring with ATF.

    2. Install the O-ring to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

    3. Align the bolt holes of the stator shaft with the bolt holes of the oil pump body and install the stator shaft to the oil pump body.

    4. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT CLUTCH DRUM THRUST WASHER


    1. Align the 2 claws with their installation positions and install the thrust washer

  7. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT PISTON


    1. Coat 2 new O-rings with ATF and install them to the stator shaft piston.

    2. Install the stator shaft piston and stator shaft spring.

    3. Using a T30 ''TORX'' wrench, install the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION

    1. Place the oil pump assembly on the torque converter.

    2. Make sure that the front oil pump drive gear rotates smoothly.

  9. INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING


    1. Coat 4 new clutch drum oil seal rings with ATF.

    2. Squeeze the ends of the 4 clutch drum oil seal rings so that the gap becomes 8 mm (0.32 in.) or less, and then install them to the stator shaft groove.

      Note

      Do not excessively widen the rings.

      Tech Tips

      After installing the clutch drum oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.

  10. INSTALL OIL PUMP O-RING


    1. Install a new O-ring to the oil pump assembly.
