SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM Driver Side Seat Belt Warning Light does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 meter ECU sub-assembly blinks or turns off the seat belt warning light on the No. 1 meter ECU sub-assembly in accordance with the state of the front seat inner belt assembly.

Tech Tips

The seat belt warning light on the No. 1 meter ECU sub-assembly is used for both the driver seat and front passenger seat.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

The seat belt warning system uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there is no malfunction in the CAN communication system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure Click here.

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (AIRBAG SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs Click here.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (LEFT SIDE BUCKLE SW, RIGHT SIDE BUCKLE SW)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.
