INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for G-BOOK Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)


    1. Disconnect the L173 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the L172 telematics transceiver connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L173-7 (VOR+) - L172-3 (VOT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L173-6 (VOR-) - L172-5 (VOT-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L173-7 (VOR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L173-6 (VOR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER


    1. Remove the telematics transceiver with the connectors still connected.

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L172-3 (VOT+) - Body ground Receiving a call while using the operator service A waveform synchronized with the received voice is output.
      L172-5 (VOT-) - Body ground Receiving a call while using the operator service A waveform synchronized with the received voice is output.
