FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION:


  • Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (w/ front seat side airbag) Click here.

  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp surfaces on the front seat with adjuster frame could cause injuries to your hands.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the wire harness clamp and connector clamp.

    2. Disconnect the buckle switch connector (w/ buckle switch connector).

    3. Disconnect the front seat side airbag connector, as shown in the illustration (w/ front seat side airbag).

      Using a T40"TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 bolts and front seat.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 4 hooks and remove the rear seat cushion.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 4 hooks and remove the rear seat cushion.

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

    1. Release the 2 hooks.

    2. Remove the 4 nuts, 4 bolts, 2 rear seat inner belts and rear seat back.

  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 2 hooks.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seat back.

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (for 5 Door)

    1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for 5 Door)

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (for 3 Door)

    1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for 3 Door)

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (for 5 Door)

    1. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for 5 Door)

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  14. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH (for 5 Door)

    1. Disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips, and remove the center pillar garnish lower.

  15. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER LH (for 5 Door)

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for 5 Door)

    1. Remove the bolt and lap outer anchor plate of the front seat outer belt.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for 5 Door)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for 3 Door)

    1. Remove the bolt and lap outer anchor plate of the front seat outer belt.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for 3 Door)

  20. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for 5 Door)

    1. Remove the bolt and lap outer anchor plate of the rear seat outer belt.

  21. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for 5 Door)

  22. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for 3 Door)

    1. Remove the bolt and lap outer anchor plate of the front seat outer belt.

  23. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for 3 Door)

  24. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH (for 5 Door)

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and clip, and remove the rear seat side garnish.

  25. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (for 5 Door)

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  26. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD RH (for 3 Door)

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the 7 claws and 7 clips, and remove the quarter inside trim board.

  27. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for 3 Door)

  28. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and console box.

  29. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER

    1. Remove the adjusting nut and equalizer.

  30. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.

      Remove the 2 bolts and parking brake lever.

  31. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY FRONT

    1. Remove the front floor carpet.

  32. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET LOWER REAR

    1. Remove the 3 bolts and front inner seat track bracket lower rear.
