QUARTER WINDOW GLASS (for 3 Door) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 4 hooks and remove the rear seat cushion.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 4 hooks and remove the rear seat cushion.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

    1. Release the 2 hooks.

    2. Remove the 4 nuts, 4 bolts, 2 rear seat inner belts and rear seat back.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 2 hooks.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seat back.

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  7. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the package tray trim panel.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  9. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  10. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH REAR LH (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag)

  11. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH REAR LH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag)

  12. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH

  15. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW GLASS

    1. Apply protective tape to the outer circumference of the quarter window, as shown in the illustration.

    2. From the interior, insert piano wires between the vehicle body and quarter window, as shown in the illustration.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to all wire ends.

      Note

      When separating the quarter window from the vehicle, do not damage the vehicle's paintwork or exterior/interior ornaments.

    4. Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the quarter window.
