Check the radio automatic station search function by activating it.

CHECK ANTENNA FOR NOISE PRODUCTION
With the ignition switch ACC, turn on the radio and select the AM mode.
Remove the roof antenna pole sub-assembly.
Place a screwdriver, thin wire or other metal object on the antenna and check that noise can be heard from the speakers.

Install the roof antenna pole sub-assembly.

Check that the amplifier antenna ground is securely fastened to the body.

CHECK RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly from the radio receiver assembly.
With the ignition switch to ACC, turn on the radio and select the AM mode.
Place a screwdriver, thin wire or other metal object on the radio receiver assembly antenna jack and check that noise can be heard from the speakers.
