METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Front Passenger Side Seat Belt Warning Light Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly detects the state of the front seat inner belt (for front passenger side) when the front passenger seat is occupied with the ignition switch ON. If the front passenger seat belt is not fastened, the driver side and front passenger side seat belt warning light in the combination meter assembly blinks. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK) - IG CIRCUIT) (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - IG CIRCUIT)

      Disconnect the combination meter assembly (driver side junction block) connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3H-9 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  2. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR)


    1. Remove the separate type front seat cushion cover (occupant detection sensor) Click here.

    2. Inspect the separate type front seat cushion cover (occupant detection sensor) Click here.

    REPLACE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR) Click here

  3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (FOR FRONT PASSENGER SIDE)


    1. Remove the front seat inner belt assembly (for front passenger side) Click here.

    2. Inspect the front seat inner belt assembly (for front passenger side) Click here.

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (FOR PASSENGER SIDE) Click here

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the front seat inner belt assembly (for front passenger side) connector.

    2. Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A22-6 (P/SB) - H26-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H26-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A22-6 (P/SB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
