METER / GAUGE SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. COMBINATION METER GAUGE AND WARNING/INDICATOR

    GAUGE:
    Item Signal Description
    Speedometer Displays vehicle speed based on signals received from skid control ECU and transmits data to meter.
    ODO/TRIP Meter Combination meter assembly.
    Fuel Displays fuel level according to signal from fuel sender gauge.
    WARNING / INDICATOR:
    Item Signal Description
    TURN Turn signal switch is ON.
    HI BEAM Displays reception of signal from headlight dimmer switch.
    LO BEAM Displays reception of signal from headlight dimmer switch.
    CHARGE Receives malfunction signals from generator (alternator).
    OIL PRESSURE Warning is displayed when oil pressure is low (pressure switch is ON).
    MIL Receives malfunction signals from ECM.
    SEAT BELT Driver seat belt buckle switch is OFF (Unfastened).
    BRAKE Displays warning when parking brake switch is ON or brake fluid level warning switch is ON.
    AIRBAG Receives malfunction signals from airbag sensor assembly center.
    WATER TEMPERATURE HIGH Displays water temperature according to signal from ECM.
    EPS Receives malfunction signals from power steering ECM.
    RR FOG Rear fog light switch is ON.
    ABS Receives malfunction signals from skid control ECU.
    STOP Warning is displayed when oil pressure is low (pressure switch is ON) or water temperature is high.
    Multi-mode manual transmission 1 Receives signal 1 from multi-mode manual transmission control ECU.
    Multi-mode manual transmission 2 Receives signal 2 from multi-mode manual transmission control ECU.
    Multi-mode manual transmission 3 Receives signal 3 from multi-mode manual transmission control ECU.
    Multi-mode manual transmission 4 Receives signal 4 from multi-mode manual transmission control ECU.
    Multi-mode manual transmission 5 Receives signal 5 from multi-mode manual transmission control ECU.
    Multi-mode manual transmission N Receives signal N from multi-mode manual transmission control ECU.
    Multi-mode manual transmission R Receives signal R from multi-mode manual transmission control ECU.
    Multi-mode manual transmission M Receives signal M from multi-mode manual transmission control ECU.
    Multi-mode manual transmission E Receives signal E from multi-mode manual transmission control ECU.
    Multi-mode manual transmission Warning is displayed when multi-mode manual transmission malfunctions.
    GLOW Glow plug is ON.
    FUEL FILTER Warning is displayed when fuel filter warning switch malfunction.
  2. TACHOMETER GAUGE

    GAUGE:
    Item Signal Description
    Tachometer ECM transmits engine speed to meter to display.
  3. SET BUZZER OFF MODE (SEAT BELT)


    1. Within 6 seconds after turning the ignition switch to the ON position, depress the ODO/TRIP switch for 10 seconds or more, and fasten the driver's seat belt to enter buzzer ON/OFF mode.

      Tech Tips

      This procedure can be performed when the display shows ODO mode.

    2. When entering buzzer ON/OFF mode, the current buzzer condition is shown on the display. Select buzzer OFF mode by operating the ODO/TRIP switch.

      Tech Tips


      • After entering buzzer ON/OFF mode, when the ODO/TRIP switch is not operated for 10 seconds or more, the display returns to normal mode.

      • When the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery, the buzzer setting returns to buzzer ON mode.
