POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

INSPECT POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION

1. Check the basic function.

   
   

   1. The door key cylinder lock function: turning the driver side door key cylinder to the lock position locks all doors.

   2. The door key cylinder unlock function: turning the driver side door key cylinder to the unlock position unlocks all doors.

   3. The door lock knob lock function: push the driver side door lock knob to the lock position locks all doors.

   4. The door lock knob unlock function: pull the driver side door lock knob to the unlock position unlocks all doors.

2. Check the key lock-in prevention function.

   Note

   To prevent the key from being locked in the vehicle, the following inspection should be made with the driver side door window open.

   
   

   1. Have the key inserted into the ignition key cylinder.

   2. With the driver side door open, turn the driver side door lock knob to the lock position, hold it for 2 seconds or more and then close the driver side door. Check that all the doors unlock.
