ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY

    1. Check the resistance.


      1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        1 - 3 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        2 - 3 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        1 - 3 DOOR Below 1 Ω
        2 - 3 ON Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the room light assembly.

    2. Check the light operation.


      1. Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal 1 and the negative (-) battery lead to terminal 3, then check that the light comes on when the switch is in the DOOR position.

        Standard
        Light comes on.

        If the light does not come on, replace the bulb.

      2. Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal 2 and the negative (-) battery lead to terminal 3, then check that the light comes on when the switch is in the ON position.

        Standard
        Light comes on.

        If the light does not come on, replace the bulb.
