HAZARD WARNING SWITCH INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    A0138QHE01

    1. Check the resistance.


      1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2 - 3 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        2 - 3 ON Below 1 Ω
        2 - 4 Illumination circuit Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the hazard warning signal switch assembly.

    2. Check the illumination operation.


      1. Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal 4 and the negative (-) battery lead to terminal 2, then check that the illumination comes on.

        Standard
        Illumination comes on.

        If the illumination does not come on, replace the bulb.
