FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 4 hooks and remove the rear seat cushion.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 4 hooks and remove the rear seat cushion.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

    1. Release the 2 hooks.

    2. Remove the 4 nuts, 4 bolts, 2 rear seat inner belts and rear seat back.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 2 hooks.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seat back.

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

    1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

  7. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the package tray trim panel.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the bolt and lap outer anchor plate of the rear seat outer belt.

  9. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD

    A0137YR

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the 7 claws and 7 clips, and remove the quarter inside trim board.

  10. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH REAR (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag)

    1. Disengage the 5 claws and 2 clips, and remove the roof side rail garnish.

  11. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH REAR (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag)

    1. Disengage the 5 claws and 2 clips, and remove the roof side rail garnish.

  12. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER

    1. Remove the clip and screw.

    2. Disengage the 4 claws and 7 clips, and remove the roof side garnish.

  13. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH UPPER

    1. Remove the bolt and lap outer anchor plate of the front seat outer belt.

      Disengage the 2 clips and claw, and remove the center pillar garnish.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the bolt and through anchor.

    2. A0138UD

      Disconnect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.

    3. A0138X8

      Remove the 2 bolts, 2 hooks and retractor.
