FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 4 hooks and remove the rear seat cushion.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 4 hooks and remove the rear seat cushion.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

    1. Release the 2 hooks.

    2. Remove the 4 nuts, 4 bolts, 2 rear seat inner belts and rear seat back.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

    1. Disengage the 2 hooks.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seat back.

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

    1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

    1. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the bolt and lap outer anchor plate of the rear seat outer belt.

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and clip, and remove the rear seat side garnish.

  10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER

    1. Disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips, and remove the center pillar garnish lower.

  11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH UPPER

    1. Remove the bolt and lap outer anchor plate of the front seat outer belt.

      Disengage the claw and clip, and remove the center pillar garnish.

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the bolt and through anchor of the front seat outer belt.

      Disconnect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.

      Remove the 2 bolts, 2 hooks and retractor.
