OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR REMOVAL

CAUTION:

  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

Note

Always use T40 "TORX" socket wrench when removing the front seat.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD

      Disconnect the 2 separate type front seat cushion cover bands.

    2. A013829

      Remove the cord of the separate type front seat cushion cover.

    3. Remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad from the front seat cushion frame.

    4. A01384I

      Remove the 10 hog rings and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad (occupant detection sensor).
