    Tech Tips

    By reading the DATA LIST displayed on the intelligent tester, you can check values and status of parts such as switches, without removing any parts. Reading the DATA LIST as the first step of troubleshooting is one method of shortening diagnostic time.


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the intelligent tester ON.

    3. On the intelligent tester, select the following menu items and read the DATA LIST: Body/ Immobiliser/Data List.

      Transponder key ECU:
      Item Measurement Item: Display (Range) Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      IG SW

      IG signal:

      ON or OFF

      ON: IG SW ON or START position

      OFF: IG SW OFF position

      Immobiliser

      Immobiliser system status:

      UNSET or SET

      UNSET: Ignition switch ON

      SET: Without key

      		 After remove and reinsert key once, "SET or UNSET " is displayed correctly.

      NG or OK
