FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the wire harness clamp and connector clamp.

    2. Disconnect the buckle switch connector (w/ buckle switch connector).

    3. Disconnect the front seat side airbag connector, as shown in the illustration (w/ front seat side airbag).

      Using a T40"TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 bolts and front seat.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    1. Unfasten the 2 zippers.

      Using a clip remover, remove the 3 wire harness clamps.

    3. A0138SA

      Remove the 2 nuts and front seat side airbag.

  4. REMOVE SEAT AIRBAG HOOK

    1. Remove the seat airbag hook.
