SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR (for 5 Door) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

  2. INSPECT SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG NOT DEPLOYED)

    1. Perform a diagnostic system check Click here.

    2. When the center pillar of the vehicle or its periphery is damaged, check whether there is any damage to the side airbag sensor. If there are any defects, such as those mentioned below, replace the side airbag sensor with a new one:


      • Any cracks, dents or chips in the case.

      • Any cracks or other damage to the connector.

      • Peeling of the label or damage to the serial number.

  3. INSPECT SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG DEPLOYED)

    1. Replace the side airbag sensor.
