AIR CONDITIONING PRESSURE SENSOR (for 2WZ-TV) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING PRESSURE SENSOR


    1. A0138YTE01

      Check the wire harness.


      1. Disconnect the connector from the pressure sensor.

      2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

        Standard resistance
        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        A31-1 - Body ground Below 1 Ω

      3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      4. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

        Standard voltage
        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        A31-1 - A31-3 4.7 V to 5.3 V

      Check the pressure sensor.


      1. Set the manifold gauge.

      2. Connect the connector to the pressure sensor.

      3. Warm up the engine.

      4. A/C switch is turned ON.

      5. Disconnect the connector from the pressure sensor.

      6. Connect the positive (+) lead from the three 1.5V dry cell batteries to terminal 3 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1.

      7. Check the voltage between terminals 2 and 1 of pressure sensor.

        Standard
        The voltage varies in accordance with the refrigerant pressure as shown in the chart.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
