AIR CONDITIONING UNIT (for 1KR-FE) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE AIR FILTER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

    1. Pinch portion A to disengage the 2 claws and remove the air filter sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (for Standard Vehicles with Air Conditioning)

    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the heat protector.

    3. A0138RI

      Remove the 2 bolts and air heater radiator assembly.

    4. A0137YE

      Remove the bolt and adapter.

  3. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles)

    1. Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the heat protector.

      Remove the 2 bolts and heater radiator assembly.

  4. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (for Standard Vehicles without Air Conditioning)

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and heater radiator assembly.

  5. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

    1. Using socket hexagon wrench 4, remove the 2 bolts and cooler expansion valve.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the evaporator sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE BLOWER FAN MOTOR ASSEMBLY

    1. While pressing down portion A, disengage the claw and remove the blower fan motor assembly by turning it counterclockwise.

  7. REMOVE BLOWER RESISTOR

    1. While pressing down portion A, disengage the claw and remove the blower resistor by sliding it to the left.

  8. REMOVE AIR DAMPER CASE ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 3 bolts and air damper case assembly.
