Tech Tips

*1 The DTC is set 1 minute after the sensor output becomes unreliable.

*2 The DTC is set 5 minutes after the sensor output becomes unreliable.

*3 Test mode codes C157/71 and C1573/73 are recorded during transition to test mode. These codes do not indicate malfunctions since the codes are cleared when the ECU determines the sensor is normal. Test mode codes are cleared simultaneously when test mode is terminated.

*3 The EPS warning light remains illuminated during test mode and starts blinking when the speed sensor and the ECM are determined to be normal.
