Note
Do not adjust the brake booster push rod.
Completely bleed the vacuum from inside the brake booster by depressing the brake pedal several times because the piston of the master cylinder is forced out of the master cylinder due to the pressure inside.

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE FRONT WHEEL (for RHD)
REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH
Remove the 2 clips and front air shutter seal RH.
REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL
Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 front ventilator seal.
REMOVE COWL TOP PANEL OUTER
Disengage the wire harness clamp.
Disengage the grommet and separate the wire harness.
Remove the 10 bolts and cowl top panel outer.
DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
Note
Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.
REMOVE BATTERY (for LHD)
Loosen the nut and disconnect the battery positive (+) terminal.
Remove the bolt and the battery clamp.
Remove the battery.
SEPARATE ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK (for LHD)
Remove the 2 bolts.
Disengage the claw and separate the engine room relay block.
Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps.
Provisionally set the engine room relay block to the hood support rod.
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)
Push in the clip and disconnect the brake fluid level warning switch connector.
Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, separate the 2 brake tubes from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly (w/o VSC).
Using a union nut wrench 12 mm, separate the 2 brake tubes from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly (w/ VSC).
Remove the 2 nuts and the brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the brake booster assembly.
Remove the O-ring from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)
Push in the clip and disconnect the brake fluid level warning switch connector.
Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, separate the 2 brake tubes from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly (w/o VSC).
Using a union nut wrench 12 mm, separate the 2 brake tubes from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly (w/ VSC).
Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, separate the No. 3 brake tube and remove it.
Separate the brake tube clamp from the body.
Remove the 2 nuts and the brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the brake booster assembly.
Remove the O-ring from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
