BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY

  2. SEPARATE CLUTCH RELEASE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle LHD)

    1. Turn and loosen the clutch release cable adjusting nut.

      Separate the clutch release cable from the clutch pedal.

  3. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the connector from the stop light switch.

    2. Turn the stop light switch counterclockwise, and remove the stop light switch.

    3. Remove the stop light switch mounting adjuster from the pedal support.

  4. REMOVE CLUTCH SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle LHD)

      Disconnect the clutch switch connector.

    2. Remove the nut and clutch switch from the pedal support.

  5. SEPARATE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

    1. Remove the clip and push rod pin, and separate the push rod clevis.

  6. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps from the pedal support.

    2. Disengage the wire harness clamp from the stud bolt.

      Remove the 4 nuts, 2 bolts and the pedal support.

      Remove the nut from the pedal support.

  7. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE CABLE GROMMET (for Manual Transaxle LHD)

      Remove the grommet from the pedal support.

  8. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle LHD)


    1. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, remove the nut and bolt.

    2. Remove the brake pedal and clutch pedal from the pedal support.

    3. Remove the collar from the brake pedal.

    4. Remove the 2 bushes from the brake pedal.

    5. Remove the collar from the clutch pedal.

    6. Remove the 2 bushes from the clutch pedal.

    7. Remove the pedal pad.

  9. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Except Manual Transaxle LHD)


    1. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, remove the nut and bolt.

    2. Remove the brake pedal from the pedal support.

    3. Remove the collar from the brake pedal.

    4. Remove the 2 bushes from the brake pedal.

    5. Remove the pedal pad.
