REAR AXLE BEAM REPLACEMENT


  1. REMOVE REAR AXLE CARRIER BUSH LH

    A0135XIE01

    1. Mark a matching mark on the rear axle beam with it aligned with the bush mark.

    2. Using a chisel and hammer, bend the 2 portions of the bush rib.

      Tech Tips

      Bend the bush rib until the claw of SST can be suspended.

    3. Using SST, remove the bush from the rear axle beam.

      Note

      Apply paint to any scratches on the rear axle beam.

  2. REMOVE REAR AXLE CARRIER BUSH RH

    Tech Tips

    The removal procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL REAR AXLE CARRIER BUSH LH

    A0136ZWE01

    1. Install the rear axle carrier bush with the marks of a new bush and the rear axle beam aligned, as shown in the illustration.

    2. A013727E01

      Using SST, install the bush onto the rear axle beam.

      Note


      • Do not scratch the rubber portion of the bush.

      • Do not deform the bush rib.
