DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE REAR WHEEL
DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
Note
Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.
REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM
Release the parking brake lever.
Using "Torx" socket wrench T30, remove the screw and rear brake drum.
Tech Tips
The removal procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.
SEPARATE REAR SPEED SENSOR
Disconnect the 3 clamps.
Using "Torx" socket wrench T30, remove the screw and separate the speed sensor.

The removal procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.
DISCONNECT REAR LH FLEXIBLE HOSE
Using SST, remove the brake tube.
Remove the clip and disconnect the flexible hose from the rear axle beam.
Note
Do not damage the rear brake tube or flexible hose.
DISCONNECT REAR RH FLEXIBLE HOSE

The removal procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.
REMOVE REAR BRAKE TUBE NO.4
Using SST, remove the brake tube.
Remove the brake tube from the brake tube clamp.
Remove the brake tube clamp from the rear axle beam.
REMOVE REAR BRAKE TUBE NO.3

The removal procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.
SEPARATE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.3
Remove the bolt and nut and separate the parking brake cable.
SEPARATE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.2
Tech Tips
The removal procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.
REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the 4 bolts.
Remove the rear axle hub and bearing and separate the backing plate.
Note
Do not twist the parking brake cable.
Suspend the backing plate with a piece of rope.
REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY RH

The removal procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.
LOOSEN REAR AXLE BEAM ASSEMBLY
Loosen the 2 bolts.
Note
Do not remove the bolts.
SEPARATE SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY REAR LH
Support both right and left sides of the rear axle beam with jacks. Insert a wooden block between the jack and the rear axle spring seat to prevent damage.
Remove the bolt and separate the rear shock absorber.
SEPARATE SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY REAR RH

REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING LH
Lower the jacks gradually.
Remove the coil spring, coil spring insulator upper and coil spring insulator lower.
REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING RH

REMOVE REAR AXLE BEAM ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts and rear axle beam.
