FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM INSTALLATION


  1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM

    A0138RX

    1. Provisionally tighten the front suspension lower arm with the 2 bolts.

    2. A01384T

      Install the front suspension lower arm onto the steering knuckle with the castle nut.

      Torque:
      98 N*m  { 1,000 kgf*cm, 72 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If the holes for the clip are not aligned, tighten the nut by a further turn of up to 60°.

    3. Install a new clip.

  2. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BOLT

    A01388W

    1. Install the 4 retainers, 4 cushions, No. 2 retainer and stabilizer bolt.

    2. While holding the stabilizer bolt with a spanner, install 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Support the front suspension lower arm with a jack.

  3. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }

  4. STABILIZE SUSPENSION


    1. Jack down the vehicle.

    2. Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the suspension.

  5. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM

    1. Fully tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt A
      110 N*m  { 1,122 kgf*cm, 81 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt B
      128 N*m  { 1,306 kgf*cm, 95 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSPECT FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
