SHIFT LEVER REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID

    A01384W

    1. Install the shift lock solenoid with the 2 screws.

    2. A013757

      Install the shift lock control unit with the 3 screws.

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION SHIFT MAIN SWITCH

    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the transmission shift main switch.

      Tech Tips

      Engage the claws securely.

    2. A0137X2

      Install the shift lever guide housing.

    3. Install the lever lock pin with a new shift lever nut.

  3. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR

    1. Install the shift lever position sensor with the 3 screws.

  4. INSTALL SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON

    1. Apply MP grease to the shift lock release button and spring.

    2. Install the shift lock release button and spring onto the shift lever.

  5. INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

  6. INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT GUIDE

    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the position indicator light guide.

      Tech Tips

      Engage the claws securely.

  7. INSTALL INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect marked wire harnesses 6 and 8 to the indicator light wire connector as shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect wire harnesses 2 and 4 to the indicator light wire connector as shown in the illustration.

    3. Lock the secondary lock.

      Install the bulb onto the indicator light wire.

    5. Connect the indicator light wire connector to the shift lever assembly.
