SHIFT LEVER DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the indicator light wire connector from the shift lever assembly.

    2. Remove the bulb from the indicator light wire.

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, release the secondary lock.

    4. A0136FUE04

      Put marks on wire harnesses 6 and 8.

    5. Release the locking lugs of terminals 2, 4, 6 and 8, and pull the wire harness out of the terminals.

  2. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT GUIDE

    1. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the position indicator light guide from the shift lever assembly.

  3. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

  4. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON

    1. Remove the shift lock release button and compression spring from the shift lever assembly.

  5. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR

    1. Remove the 3 screws and the shift lever position sensor.

  6. REMOVE TRANSMISSION SHIFT MAIN SWITCH

    1. Remove the shift lever nut and shift lever lock pin.

    2. Remove the shift lever guide housing.

    3. A0136NSE01

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the transmission shift main switch.

  7. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID

    1. Remove the 3 screws and the shift lock control unit.

      Remove the 2 screws and the shift lock solenoid.
