SHIFT STROKE SENSOR INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT SHIFT STROKE SENSOR

    A0137BIE01

    1. Connect 3 dry batteries of 1.5 V in series.

    2. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal A and the negative (-) lead to terminal B.

    3. A01387OE01

      Turn the sensor arm and check the voltage between terminals B and C.

      Reference: Voltage (Power source voltage at 4.5 V)
      Tester Connection

      Condition

      Sensor angle

      		 Specified Condition
      B - C 55° 4.05 V
      B - C 0° 2.25 V
      B - C -55° 0.45 V
      Reference: Voltage (Power source voltage at 4.7 to 5.3 V)
      Tester Connection

      Condition

      Sensor angle

      		 Specified Condition
      B - C 55° 4.5 V
      B - C 0° 2.5 V
      B - C -55° 0.5 V

      Note


      • Do not apply more than 6 V.

      • Do not drop the clutch stroke sensor. If dropped, replace it with a new one.

      If the voltage is not as specified, replace the stroke sensor.
