MULTI-MODE MANUAL TRANSAXLE SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P0910

DTC Code DTC Name
P0910 Gate Select Actuator Circuit

DESCRIPTION

A0135WUE04

The shift and select actuator is operated by the transmission control ECU and changes the transmission gear through the shift and select lever shaft movement. An electric motor (select motor) moves the shift and select lever shaft in the select direction, and the select stroke sensor, which is mounted on the shift and select actuator assembly, detects the select position. The transmission control ECU monitors the electrical current and select motor output terminal voltage, and detects malfunctions in the select motor circuit.

DTC No. DTC Detection Conditions Trouble Areas
P0910

The transmission control ECU detects the following conditions:

(1 trip detection logic)

  1. Select motor is not energized

  2. Select motor voltage is less than 0.5 V*1, or more than threshold*2for 0.5 seconds

  3. +BM voltage is 10 V or more

  • Shift and select actuator assembly (select motor)

  • Short in select motor circuit

  • Transmission control ECU

P0910

The transmission control ECU detects the following conditions:

(1 trip detection logic)

  1. Select motor is not energized

  2. Target select motor current is more than 5A

  3. Actual select motor current is less than 1A*3

  • Shift and select actuator assembly (select motor)

  • Open in select motor circuit

  • Transmission control ECU

P0910

The transmission control ECU detects the following conditions:

(1 trip detection logic)

  1. Select motor is not energized

  2. Difference between maximum and minimum voltages of select motor terminal (MSL+ or MSL-) is more than threshold*4for 0.5 seconds

  3. +BM voltage is 10 V or more

  • Shift and select actuator assembly (select motor)

  • Open in select motor circuit

  • Transmission control ECU

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

  • In clutch actuator assembly replacement, perform Clamp Position Adjustment before removing the actuator.

  • In select stroke sensor or shift and select actuator assembly replacement, perform the [Initialization and Learning] procedure Click here and [Synchronization Position Calibration] procedure Click here after installing the sensor or actuator assembly. If the sensor or actuator is installed without performing [Initialization and Learning] and [Synchronization Position Calibration], it may cause driving performance degradation or system component breakage.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT SHIFT AND SELECT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
