MULTI-MODE MANUAL TRANSAXLE SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P0562

DTC Code DTC Name
P0562 System Voltage

DESCRIPTION

The battery supplies electricity to the transmission control ECU even when the ignition switch is in the OFF position. This power allows the transmission control ECU to store data such as the learning value of actuators, DTC history and freeze frame data. If the battery voltage falls below a minimum level, these memories are cleared and the transmission control ECU determines that there is a malfunction in the power supply circuit. If an open or short circuit occurs in the +B circuit while the ignition switch is ON, the transmission control ECU stops operating immediately.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

    A0136B9E02

    1. Disconnect the transmission control ECU connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connections Specified Conditions
      GND (A27-6) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      PGND (A29-8) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage between the terminals of the transmission control ECU connectors.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connections Specified Conditions
      +B (A27-1) - GND (A27-6) 10 to 14 V
    4. Reconnect the transmission control ECU connectors.
