BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE BATTERY


    1. Loosen the nut and disconnect the battery positive (+) terminal.

      Remove the bolt and the battery clamp.

    3. Remove the battery.

  4. SEPARATE ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK

    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the claw and separate the engine room relay block.

      Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps.

    4. A0136C9

      Provisionally set the engine room relay block to the hood support rod.

  5. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A0135TU

      Remove the 3 bolts and the battery clamp sub-assembly.

  6. SUPPORT MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Support the manual transaxle with a jack.

  7. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH


    1. A0138IH

      Remove the 7 bolts and the engine mounting insulator LH with engine mounting bracket from the manual transaxle assembly.

  8. REMOVE BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the back-up light switch connector.

    2. A01379K

      Separate the back-up light switch wire harness from the 2 clamps.

    3. A0138REE01

      Using SST, remove the back-up light switch and gasket from the manual transaxle.
