INSPECT CLUTCH DISC ASSEMBLY
Using vernier calipers, measure the rivet head depth.

If necessary, replace the clutch disc.

Install the clutch disc onto the transaxle.
Note
Do not insert the clutch disc in the wrong direction.
Using a dial gauge, measure the clutch disc runout.

If necessary, replace the clutch disc.
INSPECT CLUTCH COVER ASSEMBLY
Using vernier calipers, measure the depth and width of the diaphragm spring wear.

| 0.5 mm (0.020 in.) for part A (Depth) |
| 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) for part B (Width) |
If necessary, replace the clutch cover.
INSPECT FLYWHEEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
Using a dial gauge, inspect the flywheel runout.

| 0.1 mm (0.004 in.) |
If necessary, replace the flywheel.
INSPECT CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING ASSEMBLY
Turn the release bearing in both directions by hand while applying force in the axial direction.
Tech Tips
The bearing is permanently lubricated and requires no cleaning or lubrication.
If necessary, replace the release bearing.
